16-Month ABSN Program

If you have a non-nursing bachelor’s degree, our ABSN program in Columbus makes it possible for you to earn your BSN in 16 months, or four consecutive semesters of full-time study. And with three start dates a year, you don’t have to wait to set your accelerated nursing education in motion.

Our ABSN program follows a blended, or hybrid, learning model that combines online coursework with hands-on skills labs and real-world clinical experience in diverse areas of nursing practice. Our health care partners in Columbus include OhioHealth and Nationwide Children’s Hospital.

Overall, our ABSN program requires a lot of hard work and dedication to be successful. But don’t worry, our instructors will be there to see you through, providing personalized support every step of the way. Plus, you’ll have access to an academic success coach while in the program.

After earning your BSN degree from Xavier, you’ll be prepared to sit for the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN®) and enter the profession as a practice-ready nurse.
