In fact, top hospitals and health care networks serving the Greater Cincinnati and Columbus areas value Xavier nurses for their ability to effectively advocate for their patients in interdisciplinary situations, resulting in the best possible patient outcomes.

CINCINNATI HOSPITAL PARTNERS

As a Cincinnati-based ABSN student, you’ll gain extensive clinical experience through one of the following health care providers:

  • TriHealth: Operating as the fourth largest employer in Cincinnati, this nonprofit health care system offers clinical, educational, and preventive services via five hospitals and more than 125 sites of care.  Bethesda North Hospital and Good Samaritan Hospital hold Magnet status for nursing excellence.
  • Mercy Health: As the fourth largest employer in the ‘Buckeye State’, this Catholic health care ministry operates 23 hospitals and more than 450 care locations across Ohio and Kentucky. Fair Field Hospital holds Magnet status for nursing excellence.
  • Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center: Among the oldest, most distinguished pediatric hospitals in the country, this Magnet-recognized hospital provides comprehensive clinical services, from the treatment of complex conditions to well-child care.
  • The Christ Hospital Health Network: Comprising an acute care hospital and more than 100 locations, this nonprofit health network serves the community through affordable, quality care. The Christ Hospital holds Magnet status for nursing excellence.

COLUMBUS HOSPITAL PARTNERS

Xavier partners with OhioHealth to provide our ABSN students in Columbus with diverse clinical placement opportunities. This nationally recognized, nonprofit health system operates 11 hospitals, more than 200 ambulatory sites, and other health care facilities across 47 Ohio counties.

Columbus ABSN students will also complete clinical rotations in pediatrics at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, ranked among America’s best children’s hospitals by U.S. News and World Report. In addition to its main downtown campus, Nationwide operates more than 30 outpatient care centers throughout central Ohio.
