ABOUT THE XAVIER COLLEGE OF NURSING
At the Xavier College of Nursing, our mission is to graduate nurse leaders who are prepared to improve and safeguard the health care needs of individuals, families, and entire communities.
The College of Nursing offers several undergraduate and graduate nursing programs, including the 16-month ABSN program for second-degree students. While based on the main Cincinnati campus, the College of Nursing operates two standalone ABSN Learning Centers in Ohio– Cleveland and Columbus.
Each of our locations educates students with high-tech medical equipment and all the tools you’d find in a real-life hospital setting. Whether you’re on our main campus in Cincinnati or the vibrant downtown spaces of Columbus and Cleveland, you’ll find the support needed to hone your core nursing skills and clinical judgment.
We frame all of our nursing programs within the Jesuit philosophy of holistic care, providing students with an education that not only focuses on their academic mastery and personal growth, but also contributes to the greater good of society.
In fact, we are among the few universities to have the endorsement of the American Holistic Nurses Credentialing Corporation, which means our ABSN graduates can sit for the Holistic Certification Exam after passing the NCLEX-RN® exam. Graduates of non-endorsed schools must actively practice as a holistic nurse before they can pursue certification.
