Cincinnati ABSN Program

Ready for your shot at a quality accelerated nursing education? Xavier University is now enrolling for its 16-month ABSN program in Cincinnati. Upon meeting the admission requirements, you can apply for a January, May, or August start date.

The admission requirements include:

  • A non-nursing bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.7.
  • Minimum grade of “B” in each science prerequisite. (Only one retake is permitted.)
  • Minimum grade of “C” in statistics. (Only one retake is permitted.)


Our Accelerated BSN program in Cincinnati makes it possible to earn a BSN in 16 months by building on your non-nursing bachelor’s degree.

Spanning four full-time semesters, the accelerated program features online coursework, hands-on nursing labs at our Cincinnati ABSN Learning Center, and clinical rotations in diverse areas of practice. While we can’t guarantee where your clinical placements will occur, our health care partners in Cincinnati include:

  • Mercy Health
  • Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center
  • The Christ Hospital Network
  • TriHealth

Our Accelerated BSN program is a rigorous educational path that requires a lot of hard work and dedication to be successful. But don’t worry, our faculty and staff will be there to see you through nursing school, offering personalized support every step of the way. And when you graduate from the program in 16 months, you’ll be prepared to enter the profession as a practice-ready nurse.
